Boss Chris Hughton picked out two of his January signings for praise after Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw at Brentford.
Manchester United loanee James Garner put in a man of the match display against the Bees, patrolling the centre of the pitch.
And Filip Krovinovic rescued a point for the visitors as he struck an equaliser in the second half, following Ivan Toney’s opener from the penalty spot.
“He (Garner) was really good again today and he has a maturity for his age,” Hughton said of the 20-year-old.
“It is a hard feat at that age, and not only here, but in the first half of the season at Watford when he played a lot of games.
Controversial decisions
Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton argued it was a “soft” decision to award Brentford a penalty in his team’s 1-1 draw.
Reds defender Gaetan Bong was penalised for bringing down Ivan Toney early in the first half of the lunchtime Championship clash.
And the Bees man stepped up to put his team in front with 12 minutes on the clock, coolly slotting the ball past goalkeeper Brice Samba to net his 28th league goal of the season.
The visitors mounted a response and levelled after the break as Benfica loanee Filip Krovinovic scored his first goal in the Garibaldi to earn a point.
Player ratings
Nottingham Forest came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at Brentford, thanks to Filip Krovinovic's equaliser.
Here's how Leigh Curtis rated the Reds players.
Brice Samba: Beaten by a cool penalty from Ivan Toney who scored his 28th goal of the season, aside from that his reflexes were not tested too much and when he was involved it was mostly routine saves. The woodwork saved him from conceding a second. 6
Cyrus Christie: Put a couple of crosses into the box, one of which was an absolute peach in the second half, and can see his frustration when nobody gets on the end of them. Close to a winner too. Brilliant block at the end. 7

Fans' verdict
Nottingham Forest fans have been reflecting on a hard-earned 1-1 draw for Chris Hughton’s side against Brentford.
And many of them have been saying the same thing - with praise for Manchester United loanee James Garner, who was man of the match on the day.
After being well beaten by Norwich City in midweek, the Reds responded by coming from behind to earn a point against the Bees.
They fell behind to an Ivan Toney penalty in the first half, but Filip Krovinovic’s first goal in the Garibaldi saw them draw level just past the hour mark.
