Nottingham Forest backed to get positive result at Charlton Athletic

Not since February 2013 have Nottingham Forest tasted victory at Charlton Athletic, and that record is set to continue according to one ex-Red.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side will remain unbeaten in south London, but will come away with their second successive away point and 1-1 draw, if David Prutton’s prediction is to be proved right.

Forest’s first away trip of the Championship campaign was a battling point at promotion favourites Leeds United and they’ll remain unbeaten at The Valley, he says, against a side that have yet to taste a league defeat this term.

“There is an awful long way to go but Charlton have had an excellent start to life back in the Championship,” said Prutton.

“The way they battled back twice at Barnsley for a draw on Saturday showed their resolve as well.”

While Lee Bowyer’s Addicks were fighting back to score an injury-time leveler at Oakwell, Forest were dismantling Birmingham and the City Ground, a result which Prutton believes, will have settled new manager Sabri Lamouchi down.

“Sabri Lamouchi got his first win in charge of Nottingham Forest on Saturday, which will help settle things for him a little," he told the Sky Sports website.

“I do, however, think this will be a draw.”
