Nottingham Forest at the top, Derby County 17th: How the Championship could change this weekend

Championship action resumes this weekend after a brief hiatus for the latest international break and there is plenty that could change.

Across the division, a number of extremely close battles have started to develop in the hunt for the title, automatic promotion, a playoff spot and to avoid relegation to League One.

Just how close things are has been shown by the potential standings after the 12th week of action, with nine different teams having the chance of finishing the weekend top of the pile.

At the other end of the spectrum, seven different teams could find themselves occupying a spot in the relegation zone after the 12th round of matches - showing that a campaign with plenty of twists and turns lies ahead.
