Nottingham Forest and Premier League trio eye move for prolific striker - reports

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Charlton Athletic forward Lyle Taylor ahead of the .

The Reds could look to bolster their squad in the New Year, and Taylor is the latest name to be tipped to move to the City Ground.

According to TEAMtalk, the Addicks are hoping to convince Taylor to stay at The Valley to ward off interest from other clubs.

Forest are joined by Premier League trio Burnley, Sheffield United and Norwich City to show an interest in the striker, along with Championship duo Brentford and Bristol City.

The Reds continue to be linked with strikers ahead of the January transfer window, with Taylor joining Connor Wickham, Dwight Gayle and Ibrahim Sissoko as the latest forwards linked with a move to the City Ground.

Taylor has been in fine form for Charlton since their return to the Championship, bagging five goals in his seven appearances so far this season.

He also netted against Forest in their 1-1 draw with Charlton in August.

The 29-year-old scored 25 goals in 45 appearances for the Addicks least season to help them secure promotion from League One, but has been hampered with a knee injury since September and only returned to action at the weekend against Middlesbrough.

It is believed that Taylor’s contract at Charlton expires at the end of the season, and the Addicks are hoping they can convince their star striker to remain at the club to fend off interest from elsewhere.
