Nottingham Forest and Leeds United on alert over in-form French striker - reports

Nottingham Forest and Championship rivals Leeds United have been linked with a move for striker Ibrahim Sissoko.

According to reports in the French media, the FC Chamois Niort striker has attracted the attention of the Championship pair.

Foot Mercato , via Sport Witness , say Sissoko's run of eight goals in 14 appearances in the French second division this season has alerted clubs to his availability.

Forest continue to be linked with strikers ahead of the January transfer window, with Crystal Palace's Connor Wickham and Dwight Gayle of Newcastle United said to interest Sabri Lamouchi's side.

The Reds currently sit in fourth place in the Championship, with 32 points from 18 games.

They've scored 24 goals this season, with star striker Lewis Grabban contributing to a third.

The report adds that Sissoko is keen on staying with his current side until the end of the season, possibly ruling out a January move.
