Nottingham Forest and Barnsley linked with move for Norway striker

Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'plotting' a move for AZ Alkmaar striker Bjorn Johnsen.

Football Insider report the Reds and Championship rivals Barnsley are both interested in the Norwegian international.

His form for his country is said to have attracted the interest of Forest and Barnsley scouts, with five goals in 13 games.

Born in New York City, Johnsen made AZ his tenth club when he signed for them last year.

He joined AZ from Eredivisie rivals ADO Den Haag, who he hit 19 goals for in the 2017-18 season.

The 27-year-old netted seven times last season in 25 appearances.

Forest have already made six signings this season.

Lewis Grabban led the line for the Reds last season, scoring 17 goals in 41 appearances.
