Nottingham Forest agree deal to sign young striker - reports

Nottingham Forest have reportedly agreed a deal to sign young Swedish striker Julian Larsson.

According to Fotboll Direkt , the Reds have struck a deal for the 18-year-old to move to the City Ground this month from Swedish club AIK, with the forward signing a three-year contract.

Should the rumour prove to be true, Larsson would more than likely link up with Forest’s under-23 side to continue his development, rather than being thrown straight into the first-team set up.

Larsson has mainly been involved with the youth sides at AIK, but has made the occasional appearance for the first-team.

The 18-year-old has also been capped seven times for Sweden’s under-17, where he has bagged three goals.

It has been no secret that Forest are keen to add a striker to their ranks during this month’s transfer window to provide back up for Lewis Grabban, with loan signing Rafa Mir heading back to parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds have completed the signing of Adama Diakhaby on loan from fellow Sky Bet Championship club Huddersfield Town, who will provide additional attacking options for manager Sabri Lamouchi.

In terms of outgoings, Forest have seen defender Jack Robinson exit the City Ground to sign a permanent deal with Premier League club Sheffield United.
