Nottingham Forest ace reveals one thing players must do during 'unprecedented' coronavirus suspension

Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Watson says the suspension of the football season caused by coronavirus is "difficult" for the players.

And he admits he does not envy the game's bosses having to make big decisions about how to finish the campaign.

English football will be suspended until at least April 30 because of the continued spread of coronavirus, with the Reds currently in the play-offs places in the Championship with nine matches left to play.

The Football Association has agreed the current season can be "extended indefinitely".

"You obviously think about what could happen and what it could mean to us, but ultimately it's not down to us," Watson told the club website.

"This situation is unprecedented so it's an unknown for all those making the decision, there is no proven solution in how to deal with it so we just have to remain patient and see what happens. I don't envy those having to make the decision."

"It's difficult to be honest, but what can we do," he added.

"We follow the advice given to us and keep going until we are told different. At the moment we are at home and keeping up our fitness. It's obviously not ideal but it's a situation we have to manage, we have no choice."
