Nottingham Forest ace provides injury update after Reading draw

Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley says he hopes his injury is “not too bad” after he was forced off in the 1-1 draw with Reading.

The 28-year-old pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury during the first half of the match at the City Ground, in another blow for the Reds.

Lolley was making his 30th appearance of the season in the Garibaldi, being brought into the starting XI as one of four changes made by boss Chris Hughton.

But just past the half hour mark, he pulled up as he made a run down the centre of the pitch and looked to clutch his hamstring.

He quickly gestured to the bench and limped off as he was replaced by Anthony Knockaert in the 34th minute with the score at 0-0.

After the match, Lolley posted a picture of himself warming up on Instagram and joked: “Maybe should have stretched it a little better before the game, hopefully not too bad.”

Forest were already without defender Joe Worrall for the match against Reading as they bounced back from successive defeats.

The defender missed out with a rib injury.

He was replaced in the team by Scott McKenna, who was making his comeback from an ankle problem.

And there was also a return for striker Lewis Grabban, who was named among the substitutes.

It has been a stop-start season for former Huddersfield Town man Lolley, but he had started to find some form and was looking lively before being forced to depart.
