For the third successive season, Nottingham Forest will head to Stamford Bridge to take on Premier League giants Chelsea.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side were drawn against the Blues for the third round of the FA Cup, with the tie scheduled to be played on the weekend of Saturday, January 4.
But with the trip becoming something of a regular for Reds fans, Joe Lolley summed up what everybody else was thinking.
Reacting to last night’s draw, the Forest ace tweeted a GIF from the classic film Groundhog Day which shows Bill Murray saying: “Do you ever have deja vu?”
Forest were knocked out of the FA Cup away to Chelsea last term, falling 2-0 in what proved to be Aitor Karanka’s last game in charge before the Spaniard departed the club; Alvaro Morata scoring both goals for the hosts.
The previous campaign they had fallen 5-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Carabao Cup, with Tendayi Darikwa bagging little more than a late consolation effort for the visitors.
It is not only the Reds who have changed manager since the last time the two teams met, with Frank Lampard at the helm of his old club, having left Derby County in the summer.
