Nottingham Forest defender Michael Dawson’s winning mentality sets him apart, according to former Reds boss Paul Hart.
And he believes it is a quality which would serve Dawson well if he decides to go into management once he hangs up his boots.
The 36-year-old is out of contract this summer, although Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi has said he believes he is capable of playing at Championship level for at least another year.
Dawson’s animated antics in the dugout when he has been a substitute during games - as caught by the club’s bench cam - have seen him hailed as a future Reds boss by fans.
Hart gave the centre-back his debut in the Garibaldi, back in 2002 in his first spell at the City Ground - and says he caught the eye even then.
"He's got a great personality. I don't know about his coaching skills,” Hart said in the Garibaldi Red podcast.
"He may be thinking about management. I wouldn't be surprised.
"His personality is fantastic. He is never beaten.
"He made me sit up that season with things he did that first season he played.”
Injury has hampered Dawson since his return to Forest two years ago.
This season he has made 15 appearances, finding it tough to unseat Tobias Figueiredo and Joe Worrall before the campaign was suspended.
