Nottingham Forest ace attracting more top-flight 'interest' as Reds could be dealt striker blow

Worrall linked

Two more Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.

And the Reds are said to be “braced for more bids”, after they are understood to have turned down more than one offer in the summer.

Arsenal and Newcastle United were both linked with Worrall towards the end of 2019, while Sheffield United were last week said to be eyeing him up.

And now the Daily Mirror claim West Ham United and Norwich City are keen on the centre-back.

Gayle latest

Nottingham Forest target Dwight Gayle is “unlikely” to sign for a Championship club this month, according to reports.

A number of teams, including the Reds, are believed to be eyeing up a move for the Newcastle United striker in the January transfer window.

After a successful season on loan at West Bromwich Albion last term, Gayle has struggled for regular game time back at St James’ Park, making just eight appearances so far, without finding the back of the net.

The Magpies are said to have slapped a £15m pricetag on the 29-year-old, while it is said the man himself would prefer a permanent deal rather than another loan switch.

Mir move?

Huesca are reportedly ‘still waiting’ for Nottingham Forest striker Rafa Mir.

Mir has been linked with a move away from the City Ground after struggling to make an impact following his summer loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Today’s (Wednesday) edition of Spanish newspaper AS has a report on the striker headlined ‘Huesca still waiting for striker Rafa Mir’.

The report claims the Segunda Division side have made a striker their priority and Mir is at the top of the list.

Dream weekend

Nottingham Forest Academy star Tyrese Fornah said making his senior debut was the stuff of dreams.

Not only making his first-team bow for the Reds, but Fornah did so in the FA Cup against Premier League giants Chelsea – at Stamford Bridge.

The young midfielder was introduced from the bench in the second half of the 2-0 defeat in the capital. He was one of 10 Academy graduates in the matchday squad.

“The last few days have been great for me and some of the boys in the academy,” Fornah told the club website. “It is a dream really, I still wake up and think ‘Did it really happen?’”
