Nottingham Forest 6m euros defender link emerges

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Austrian defender Kevin Danso.

The 21-year-old has played in the Premier League this season for Southampton, during a loan move from Bundesliga side Augsburg.

He moved to St Mary's on a season-long deal, with an option for the Saints to buy him this summer.

He played six times for Southampton in the top flight - and played a further four matches for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Danso, who has played six times for Austria, is said to be under contract with Augsburg until 2024.

Forest, Watford and Fortuna Düsseldorf are all credited with an interest in the centre-back, who is said to be valued at 6.3m euros.

The defender, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Austria, moved to England when he was six and came through the academy system at MK Dons, before moving to Augsburg in 2014.
