Nottingham family 'loving every minute' of their 30 Days Wild challenge

A Nottingham family have shared how they are loving 'every minute' of their 30 Days Wild challenge. For the whole month of June, Nottinghamshire Wild Life Trust is challenging people to do something wild every day in order to connect with nature.

The Rimmer family have been embracing the task and have shared their adventures so far. Laura and Dave are parents to Lucas have been posting their 30 Days Wild journey on their Instagram.

The parents said: "#30dayswild with a 2 year old is certainly eye opening. Even the shortest, most local walks become an adventure (stick in hand), but as an adult you start to experience things through a toddler eyes - seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling and appreciating the world around you. From pointing out passing buzzy bees to blowing a dandelion clock to laughing as the wind blows your hair, it's all exciting, it's all wonderful.

"We've always been an outdoorsy family, but the #30dayswild campaign from The Wildlife Trusts is a highlight of the year for us, as it reminds us to go out and fully experience the great outdoors. Last week we finally made it to Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust's Bunny Woods for the first time since moving here 6 years ago despite it only being 10 minutes away.

"We've eaten outside in our garden several times in June already, completely prompted by #30dayswild and loved every moment.” You can follow their journey through June and beyond for #365DaysWild on Instagram @plastic_reduction.
