Nottingham Covid vaccine bus out of action due to emergency repair work

Nottingham's Covid-19 vaccination bus will be out of action for the next two days due to emergency repair work.

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said that the work was being carried out "due to a minor bump".

Appointments booked at Bestwood Park Church and Disability Support, Bramble Road in Old Basford on Wednesday, April 21, and the Pelican Pub car park in Bilborough on Thursday, April 22, have been rescheduled.

People with appointments booked have been informed.

Yesterday, anti-vax protesters took to Bulwell were people were having the jab on the vaccination bus.

Around 15 people who were shouting "we want our freedom back" were criticised during the government's national briefing yesterday.

A statement on the CCG's website said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will share further updates when the bus is back up and running."

Anyone currently eligible for vaccination including those aged 45 or over, clinically vulnerable, carers or a frontline health and social care worker can book in at any vaccination site across the city or county.

Those aged 45 or over can book online here or call the booking line on 0115 883 4640.

Carers or anybody classed as clinically vulnerable can book online here or call the local booking line on 0115 883 4640.
