Bar owners have teased "there's a new Sheriff on St James's Street" as work gets underway to bring a new nightspot to Nottingham city centre.
The former premises of Bla Bla Bar (opposite the Malt Cross) has been completely gutted with even its famous 'Daisy' the bull statue being given the elbow and removed by workmen ready to make way for Icon: Bar.
Revealing snippets of the dramatic revamp on its official Facebook page bar owners said: "One of the most satisfying experiences for us was being able to rip out literally everything to do with this bar, giving us no restrictions as to what we can do with the design."
Progress is certainly well underway with a brand new floor and bar already installed at the premises.
Live DJs and "amazing drinks offers" have also been promised at the new venue which Nottinghamshire Live understands will be opening before the summer hits the city.
Bar staff are currently being recruited ahead of its launch. To apply drop a message via the bar's official Facebook page with a copy of your CV. Employers are looking for people who "stand out from the rest".
