Nottingham cafe which closed without warning set to reopen as Kings Walk Kitchen

Brunch, baguettes and mouth-watering cakes will be on the menu when a new cafe and takeaway opens in a Nottingham city centre property that has stood empty for almost a year.

Kings Walk Kitchen, on the corner where the cut-through meets Forman Street, is set to open next Wednesday, May 22 if the refurbishment is completed on time.

Work is underway to revamp the building, which used to be the home of Le Petit Four before its sudden closure last July. One of the kitchens has been torn out to create extra seating.

Kevin Wright, who also runs Hartley's, in Carlton Street, and the Kitchen on Pelham Street, has taken over.

The menu will be similar with sit-down brunch and lunch menu, baguette and salad takeaway options, and mouth-watering cakes.
