Nottingham bar Slug & Lettuce has swung opens its doors at the Cornerhouse following a blooming lovely transformation. The £450,000 makeover has made the bar picture-perfect and cemented its status as the go-to place for cocktails with the girls – whether they're in the mood for a bottomless brunch, masterclass, or a sparkling afternoon tea.
The bar has been dressed head-to-toe in eye-catching botanical decor and decked out with plush velvet furniture. Revellers can sip in style in one of the bar’s signature birdcage booths, each decorated for the season with cherry blossom. Neon lights, butterfly wings for the perfect selfie, and birdcage booths add even more glitz and glamour.
Cocktail connoisseurs can hone their skills at the bar’s dedicated cocktail masterclass station, where they can have a go at making popular drinks including Pornstar Martini, Espresso Martini, Bramble and the classic Mojito. Or if they'd rather leave it leave it to the bartender, they can take advantage of two-for-one cocktails from the new Slug in Bloom menu.

Additions include Dancing with Daisies (Smirnoff Raspberry Crush vodka with a daisy sweet on top) Smitten with Roses (Hendrick’s Gin and prosecco with and a heart-shaped lolly) and Cherry Blossom Bliss (a tequila-fuelled cocktail topped with an edible flower tattoo).
The bar has partnered with Mud Urban Flowers to offer DIY flower crown kits too - filled with all of the bunny tails, helichrysums, lilacs and pink flax needed to create a hair piece as vibrant as the cocktails.
