Nottingham bar goes up for sale - and it could be turned into offices

A Nottingham bar has been put up for sale - but there's no guarantee it will remain a watering hole.

The Ropewalk was until recently "a home from home for students" showing Sky and BT Sports and kitted out for pool, ping pong, darts and beer pong.

The bar, in Derby Road, Canning Circus, had been previously taken over by The Walton Hotel, further down the road.

But the laid-back haunt has now closed and property is on the market for £650,000.

However, there's a possibility that it may not stay a bar.

The sales pitch says the property would suit a conversion to offices, with a high profile location close to other offices.

The building, which lies in Nottingham City Council's Canning Circus conservation area, was previously Rendezvous, Bierkeller and Pengelly's.
