Nottingham auction bargains for house hunters starting from £39,000

Guide prices as low as £39,000 have been set on some Nottingham properties going up for auction this month.

The doer-uppers across Nottinghamshire range from homes that need a little TLC to some that need proper skills.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, the firm holding the sale, said: “Our latest auction has a number of properties in need of renovation, which is why they have low guide prices which will attract first-time buyers with DIY skills or landlords looking to invest and increase their portfolios.”

Coming up at Bond Wolfe Auctions latest live-streamed auction on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, are two, two-bedroom, mid-terraced houses in the market town of Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

One is set flush to the pavement with a rear garden in Cookson Street - this benefits from electric heating and the majority of windows are double-glazed - it has a guide price of £54,000-£58,000.

The other property, which is in Vernon Road, has small front and back gardens , electric heating and again the majority of windows are double-glazed. This has a guide price of £55,000-£60,000.

Another property in the sale has a headline grabbing guide price of £39,000-£44,000. The auction house says this property may appeal to "skilled DIY enthusiasts". The two-bed mid-terraced house in Crossways in Retford, Nottinghamshire, stands back from the road with front and back gardens and benefits from central heating and double glazing, however it does need modernisation.

Improvement works are also needed for a three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house with gardens and double glazing in Whitechapel Street in the Basford area of Nottingham, with a guide price of £50,000+.

The same DIY attraction goes for two other three-bedroomed, semi-detached houses in the sale at the end of the month. One house is over the border in Derbyshire in Lawrence Street in Long Eaton, with a guide price of £54,000-£59,000, and the other in Eakring Road in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, with a guide price of £59,000.

The homes are among 226 lots listed for Bond Wolfe Auction’s online auction which starts at 8.30am on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

The sale will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe Auctions’ website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
