Two positive Covid-19 tests have been reported at a Nottingham school - causing a year group to be sent home.
Nottingham Academy confirmed two people had tested positive for coronavirus within the year 9 'bubble' on Monday, September 28.
The year group is now closed to students and they should return to school on October 12.
The school is set to remain open to other year groups.
In a statement, the academy added: "The school has been closely following a clear set of operating procedures and risk assessments to minimise the risk to other students and staff; in particular, maintaining students in their respective bubbles. For this reason, the rest of the school will remain open and are expected to come to school tomorrow.
"If students have siblings in Year 9 they should still come to school unless they begin to present Covid-19 symptoms.
"After authorisation from parents, Year 9 students have been sent home, printed work was made available for them to take with them and the Academy Home Learning page will be active throughout this period.
"As throughout this period we advise the Academy community to follow government guidance if anyone in the household presents any Covid symptoms to contact 119 and seek a test."
Elsewhere, George Spencer Academy in Stapleford confirmed a year group had been sent home to isolate following a positive test.
And staff members of Bilborough College have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days after a positive result of Covid-19 was confirmed.
