A reveller at Notting Hill Carnival screamed "I'm the devil" before biting off part of a woman's lip in a horrifying and unprovoked attack.
The victim, aged in her 40s, suffered life-changing injuries when she was attacked by Jason Thompson, 42, on the first day of the event on August 25 last year.
She was talking to friends when the stranger randomly approached her on Portobello Road as thousands of revellers attended the carnival.
Thompson, from Haringey, north London, told the woman "I'm the devil" and then leaned forward and but off her top lip, leaving her bleeding heavily and in shock.

He has now been convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
After the attack, the woman sought help from police officers who were nearby and was escorted to a first-aid post.
She was then taken to a west London hospital, where surgeons operated on her face.
The Met Police issued a public appeal for witnesses days after the attack and obtained information that led to Thompson's arrest.
He was charged and pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court on Tuesday.
He is due to be sentenced on March 27.
Speaking after the hearing, DCI Driss Hayoukane, of the Notting Hill Carnival post investigation unit, said: “This was a horrific and unprovoked attack on a woman who has suffered life-changing injuries requiring ongoing surgery.
“The evidence against Jason Thompson was overwhelming, leaving him with no option other than to plead guilty.
“I want to praise the bravery of the victim in this case.
"I also want to thank members of the public who came forward following the original appeal with crucial information that assisted the investigation team.”
