Notorious Fife urban hunter taunts police on social media as they try to track him down

A notorious 'urban hunter' wanted by Fife police has been taunting them on social media – claiming he’s 'gone fishing'.

Fife police put out a missing person alert for Brandon Robb on Thursday and have warned the public not to approach him.

However, he has since shared the alert on Facebook - writing that he wasn’t missing and was in England.

Responding to one Facebook user, the 23 year-old write: “No need to share am fine in Bishop Auckland fishing.”

Robb, who comes from Leslie, gained notoriety when he posted pictures of himself and his dog hunting deer in the Scottish countryside on social media.

He is known to frequent parks, wooded areas and farmland nearby to Leslie.

He was jailed in 2014 after admitting using his pet dog to hunt and kill a rare piebald deer.

He killed the piebald while awaiting sentencing for stealing 30 ducks from a farm in Fife.

The court heard he was living a “feral existence” and jailed him for eight months.

Robb, who also uses the name Brandon Lee, routinely plastered his Facebook page with photos of him posing next to illegally slain animals.

Robb, who has various previous offences, was last seen in the Paterson Park area of the town at about 11.15am on Wednesday. He is described as 5ft 7in tall with short, light brown hair.

Inspector Hazel Crielly said: “We want to trace Mr Robb as quickly as possible and officers would like to hear from anyone who knows where he his and anyone who he may have been in contact with.

“I would ask members of the public not to approach him but to call us immediately.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number or 2091 of Wednesday, 5 August, 2020, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
