Nothing for tourists to carp about at Tokyo Tower

Koinobori carp streamers "swim" above the entrance to Tokyo Tower, in the capital's Minato Ward, on Friday, with 333 of the colorful decorations to match the iconic structure's height in meters. The 11th annual event at the landmark, which marks Children's Day on May 5, kicked off about one month earlier than usual to entertain an increasing number of foreign visitors. The event runs through May 6, with the carp streamers illuminated from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
