'Nothing changes, we're here to do a job' - Bailey Wright on managerial rumours

Sunderland defender Bailey Wright has said the dressing room remains focused on the job at hand despite the hunt for a new manager.

The hunt for a new manager is ongoing after Phil Parkinson was relieved of his duties on Sunday evening.

Andrew Taylor took charge of the Black Cats 1-1 draw with Burton Albion last night - Max Power snatched a late equaliser after Remi Matthews spilled the ball into the path of Charles Vernam.

Wright said that the Sunderland players aren't ignoring the managerial rumours but they aren't letting it distract them from their job.

The Australian centre-half said: "You don't ignore it, of course you don't. At the end of the day you're going to have a new boss who comes in and like everyone you're curious to see what decisions are made.

"But nothing changes, we're here to do a job. Who comes in is above us, it's not our control, but I'm sure the right decisions will be made.

" Who does come in will be inheriting a good group, a hard-working and honest group that's prepared for the challenge.

"We've just got to control the controllables and let the rest sort itself."
