'Nothing but love' - Nottingham Forest fans react to Sabri Lamouchi sacking

Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Sabri Lamouchi "with immediate effect" as the Frenchman paid the ultimate price for a dismal start to the season.

The Reds have lost every game of the campaign so far and following last season's capitulation on the final day which saw them miss out on a top-six finish, the club has decided to act.

Lamouchi was so close to leading the Reds to a crack at returning to the Premier League in what was a largely memorable season despite the final day heartache.

And Reds fans have been quick to pay their tribute to Lamouchi on Twitter as the news broke off his departure.

Here's what they had to say.

Frank Lunin: "Thank you for the good time Sabri. Really feel no fans being in the stadium changed everything."

Debs: "Sad but inevitable. Had us believing for a while which was amazing. Lovely guy but limited in the end. The very best of luck Sabri!"

Alex: All good things come to an end, thank you, and hope he smashes it elsewhere.

FPL Forest: "Right decision. Will always be grateful for Stoke away when we went top and Leeds at home, havent felt anything like that in a good few years but this squad has to be getting promotion. Best compliment I can give him is that I dont hate him at the end like most managers we've had."

Harvey Scrim:   "Nothing but love for that man. Thank you for bringing belief and allowing us to dream. Wish him nothing but the best."

TomNFFC: "Gave me the best season supporting Forest last year, so will be forever grateful. Thank you for everything Sabri."

Stuart Hosking: "Shame SL reign ended this way, but sadly unavoidable. Don’t think many will blame the club this time, last seasons capitulation was enough for most and to see us even worse this season, the clubs had more than enough patience."

JohnCB: "Good luck, Sabri. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as we expected it to. The recruitment team must take some responsibility, also. Some of the signings and transfer policy has been shambolic this year, especially some outgoings we've recently spent on e.g. Da Costa."

Lance Stroll: "It’s a very bittersweet feeling. On the one hand it seemed inevitable that he was going to go and it seems to be the right decision. On the other hand he really did bring that loving feeling back to Forest, hope he lands on his feet."
