NotebookLM has launched a new feature called Featured Notebooks. It is a curated collection of high-quality notebooks created in collaboration with prominent authors, researchers, publishers, and nonprofits. The feature aims to make it easier for users to access credible and in-depth information on a wide range of topics, from science and finance to parenting and literature.
What’s in the First Batch?
The initial set of featured notebooks includes:

- Longevity advice from Dr. Eric Topol, author of Super Agers
- The World Ahead 2025, an annual forecast from The Economist
- Life advice based on Arthur C. Brooks’ popular How to Build A Life columns in The Atlantic
- A Yellowstone travel guide for science lovers, with geological and biodiversity insights
- Long-term global trends from Our World in Data, a University of Oxford-affiliated project
- Parenting tips based on the Techno Sapiens newsletter by psychology professor Jacqueline Nesi
- The complete works of Shakespeare, packaged for students and scholars
- A notebook tracking Q1 earnings for the top 50 public companies, targeting market analysts
All these notebooks come with full access to NotebookLM’s key tools, where you can ask questions, explore themes via Mind Maps, listen to Audio Overviews, and get source-backed answers with citations.
According to the shared press release, the featured notebooks follow last month’s rollout of public sharing, which enabled users to share notebooks openly. Since then, over 140,000 public notebooks have been created. NotebookLM says it will continue expanding its featured collection, with more coming from ongoing collaborations with The Economist and The Atlantic.
The new feature is rolling out today to desktop users and will likely evolve with feedback from the growing community of public notebook creators. Which means if everything goes well, we can expect the featured notebooks to arrive on smartphones as well. However, at the moment, there’s no official indication from the company.
