Thursday night saw Antonio Conte's Tottenham reign get off to a winning start with a rocky 3-2 victory over Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League.
Despite the competition being low on Spurs' priorities, the Italian fielded a near full-strength side with Heung-min Son, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura all contributing to the three goals.
Whether it be with Juventus, Chelsea or Inter Milan, Conte has always enjoyed instant success as a manager, most recently winning Inter Milan's first Serie A title in 11 years.
A Premier League title will likely be too much to ask this term but he will no doubt be expecting his new side to adopt a win-at-all-costs attitude that has previously alluded them.
"For sure, when there is a winner, there is always great work behind from all - coaches, players, staff and all people who work for the club," Conte told his pre-match press conference.
"For sure, the club is an important part of this winner. Also because the final decision is always for the club and I consider the club very important to win at the end of the season."
Only Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon missed out through injury so Conte had a strong squad to choose from.
The same line-up that started in midweek was also chosen to start in the north west, but not everyone was happy with it, particularly the continued presence of Ben Davies on the left-hand side of a back three.
