'Not the easiest' - Chris Wilder had this to say about Luke Freeman amid Nottingham Forest link

Luke Freeman has been linked with a loan move to Nottingham Forest - but was in action for Sheffield United this weekend.

played 90 minutes as the Blades beat Millwall 2-0 at The Den in their FA Cup fourth round tie on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has found his chances limited since arriving at Bramall Lane from Queens Park Rangers over the summer.

He has made 13 appearances in all competitions - but only three Premier League starts.

Chris Wilder made five changes to his side at Millwall, giving the likes of Freeman and former man Ben Osborn a chance to impress.

And Wilder was delighted with what he saw from the pair.

"There were good performances from Ben and Luke," he told The Star.

"The boys have found it difficult to get into the team and it's not the easiest - when they go to a new club and want to play.

"But they showed their characters. Any opportunity they had to get forward, they took and I was delighted for them.

"I enjoyed today (Saturday) - really, really enjoyed it."

Forest are reported to be launching a fresh bid for Freeman ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

Leeds United have also previously been linked with the player.
