'Not scoring then'- Chelsea fans torn on Thomas Tuchel's two key decisions ahead of Aston Villa

Chelsea fans are on the whole excited to see versatile winger Callum Hudson-Odoi make his Blues return for the Aston Villa Premier League clash after recovering from Covid-19.

On the contrary, club-record signing Romelu Lukaku hasn't had the same fortunes as Chelsea's number 20 as he only finds himself on the bench despite training this week, as Christian Pulisic heads up the front three.

It was a recipe that unfortunately didn't work in the game before Christmas against Wolves as the attack on that occasion drew blank.

The USMNT star did make a big difference off the bench in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Brentford, though, as he won the penalty that Jorginho converted for 2-0 on that occasion.

Manager Thomas Tuchel did inadvertently hint at Pulisic getting more minutes in the forthcoming weeks as the German was thankful that the 23-year-old was able to make a vital contribution in some sense.

He said in his pre-match press conference: "It is good to have minutes for him. Is it his very best position where he feels most comfortable? Maybe not. It is the way at the moment but he is very positive about it and he is fighting for his confidence and for the flow. While he is fighting we're supporting him."

With all of this taken into account, here is the best of the reaction from the Chelsea fan based on the key decisions that have been made as the team look to get back on the right track in the Premier League.

@willreyner didn't react too well to the Lukaku decision: 'Not scoring then.'

@FadyCFC questioned: 'When will this guy [Lukaku] start a game.'

@achrafNR06 is not happy with the Pulisic decision: 'Pulisic striker again lol we're losing.'

@bonkbonk124 doesn't have too much hope after seeing the line-up: 'Well I expect another boxing day disasterclass from us'.

@LukeO100405 is happy with the Hudson-Odoi decision: 'Yes a direct winger not long pass ziyech.'

@SuperKovacic shares a similar sentiment as the comment above: 'CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.'

Full Chelsea team to face Aston Villa (3-4-3): Mendy; Rudiger, Silva, Chalobah; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic.
