'Not really a question then is it!' The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh slams 'fake' question on show

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left unimpressed by a question about hippies on Friday's show.

The presenter welcomed four new contestants to the studio in a bid to take on the Chaser and win a sum of cash.

Each contestant went up against Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, with student and aspiring director Liam up second.

But the ITV presenter was left baffled by one question about hippies, and said that it was 'not really a question'.

Bradley asked which of a range of 'hobbies' was said to be a tradition among hippies.

The options included growing their own patchouli or knitting their own yoghurt.

Knitting yoghurt was the correct answer, which left Bradley and Liam both stunned.

The Chaser said: "It's one of those disparaging phrases that are used to put down hippies who like to do everything themselves.

"Grow things, knit things, and eat natural things like yoghurt."

According to the Urban Dictionary, it is a "mildly derogatory term for a tree hugging liberal. It combines yoghurt - the food of choice of hippies - with knitting - a reference to the arts and craft movement."

Bradley Walsh responded: "Oh, that's not really a question then is it, which of these is a traditional activity when it doesn't exist, it's just meant to take the mickey."

And viewers took to Twitter to agree with the host.

One said: "I’m with Brad, that hippy question was just stupid."

Another wrote: "That hippy question was ********! Wtf!?"

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
