'Not realistic' - Evangelos Marinakis pitches extension proposal

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has proposed an extension to the suspension of the Greek Super League amid the coronavirus crisis.

Marinakis, who has recovered from the virus, is on the Super League's board of directors as well as the owner of Greek giants Olympiacos.

Greek media outlet SDNA report he was involved in a meeting in which he suggested the suspension should be extended until at least the end of April.

Marinakis' Olympiacos are sitting top of the Super League - seven points clear of their nearest rivals, PAOK Salonika.

"April 24 is not realistic. We have to see the situation by the end of April," Marinakis reportedly said.

"Whatever we decide, we will put the interest of everyone first and not the interest of Olympiacos."
