Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has branded Chelsea's interest in Everton star Anthony Gordon as 'strange'.
The London club continue to be linked with the 21-year-old and recent reports suggest they're willing to pay as much as £60m to prise him from Goodison Park. They've already had a bid in the region of £45m rejected, but it has now been suggested they are willing to increase that offer.
Everton 's stance on the transfer has remained the same – Gordon is not for sale this summer. Manager Frank Lampard went on to say after the Carabao Cup clash against Fleetwood Town: "Everyone knows there's interest from Chelsea but he's our player, simple as that."

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea submit a fresh bid and whether the rumoured fee of £60m tempts Everton into completing a deal. Agbonlahor, though, says their interest in Gordon is 'strange' as Thomas Tuchel has far more pressing concerns elsewhere in his squad.
"First of all I think it's strange for Everton to even think of selling him," the pundit said on talkSPORT. "But, when you talk about this amount of money, you have to sell him. When you're talking £60 million, for me, he's £30-£40 million at most.
"He can get at players, he can put a good delivery in, he can score goals. But when you read out the stats, it's hard to see where £60m has come from. If Everton, who need a number nine, can get £60m or £50m plus Armando Broja on loan maybe, it's definitely worth doing.
"It's strange from Chelsea, though! They also need a number nine, they've got wingers. They've got enough wingers in the building. Is Gordon really going to change Chelsea from a wide point of view? Not for me. They need a striker, so it's a bit strange from them, to be honest."
