From utility bills to food shopping, we've heard so much about price rises recently.
And over the last few weeks our price comparisons have been highlighting just how much the cost of products has risen.
With the grocery sector predicting even greater hikes over the coming months, it paints a pretty bleak picture when there are mouths to feed.
But thankfully not everything has gone up. In fact some items have even come down in price.
Using receipts from November and December last year, we've been taking a look at some of the Tesco products that have either come down in price, or have stayed the same.
We found 60 in total - nine of which were cheaper and 51 the same.
Among the items costing less now are Cadbury's chocolate bars, some fruit and veg, Bakewell tarts and toiletries.
And while some have come down just a penny or two, for other items like Tesco Sour Cream & Chive Dip, there was a 28% drop, from £1.10 to the current price of 79p - which perhaps explains why it was out of stock.
Among the 51 items costing exactly the same as last year are basics like bread and eggs, meat such as gammon, bacon, sausages and ham, and some frozen items like Birds Eye Chunky Fish Fingers and curly fries.
We kept Clubcard products out of the equation - both last year's and current offers - to make it a fairer comparison, but it was clear that some of the retailer's products had come down in price due to its Aldi price match.
The only offer we did include was for Heinz Spaghetti & Sausages, which is still £1.10 for a 400g tin, or three for £3, as it was last year.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re committed to giving our customers everyday great value through the expansion of our Aldi price match scheme to around 650 products, the re-launch of Everyday Low Prices to more than 1,600 items and the extension of Clubcard prices to all our Express stores."
