Not everybody loves Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker as Sadio Mane singled out

Now, that's what you call a happy Monday.

Liverpool laid down a significant marker to their Premier League title rivals with an impressive 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Anfield.

It mattered not that Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for the visitors after a rare mistake by Andy Robertson.

By half-time, Robertson had redemption by adding to Sadio Mane's equaliser, with substitute Diogo Jota sealing the win late on with a first goal for his new club.

Yours truly was on ratings duty for the ECHO and didn't see a bad performance from any of Jurgen Klopp's side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was the stellar performer with 9, although he was pushed all the way by Fabinho and Mane, who both scored 8.

The same mark was handed out to everyone bar Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino, the pair having to console themselves with a good 7.

What everyone else said

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media were pretty much in agreement over who to praise from the Reds.

The Mirror had Alexander-Arnold best on 8 but were pretty stingy with Gomez, Keita, Wijnaldum and Fabinho scoring 6.

The Mail do things by halves and adjudged Alexander-Arnold as leading the way on 8.5 ahead of Fabinho and Salah on 8.

The Express regarded Mane the standout on 9 with a clutch of others on 8.

The Independent put Alexander-Arnold on top with 8 but were not impressed with Alisson, giving him just 5.

Meanwhile, The Times couldn't decide between Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Robertson, Salah and Mane, all scoring 8.

Finally, the number-crunchers at WhoScored.com calculated Mane best with 7.79 ahead of Alexander-Arnold on 7.38.
