There have been no further deaths recorded in Leeds hospitals over the last day, this is the fifth day in a row that the city has recorded no covid deaths.
Amazingly, there have also been zero further deaths from coronavirus in Yorkshire hospitals over the last 24 hours.
This is the first time since early April that there have been no deaths confirmed by hospital trusts in the region in a 24 hours period.
We have also been seeing the rate of infection in many parts of Yorkshire begin to decline over the last few weeks.
However, in hospitals across England there have been a further 38 deaths of people who had tested positive for the coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed deaths in English hospitals to 28,832.
Of the deaths in hospitals across England that have been recorded in the last 24 hours, patients were aged between 33 and 96 years old.
Two patients, aged 50 and 69, had no known underlying health conditions.
Cities, towns and villages across England are now preparing for the re-opening of pubs and bars on Saturday (June 4).
Though many have welcomed the tentative return to normality, there are still those that believe it is too soon to be making these changes.
