'Not a player' - Nottingham Forest star reveals Manchester United transfer prediction

Nottingham Forest midfielder Tiago Silva has been discussing Bruno Fernandes' move to Manchester United.

Silva, a compatriot of Fernandes, gave an interview with Portuguese website Mais Futebol on Wednesday in which he also discussed his future plans and dreams to play in the Premier League as well as Spain.

And he touched upon Fernandes' move to Old Trafford, which was finally completed for around £47 million in January after a protracted saga that had seen him perennially linked with a move to Old Trafford.

He has hit the ground running with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, having a hand in seven goals in his nine appearances before coronavirus put the 2019-20 campaign on hold indefinitely.

And Silva says he is not surprised given his knowledge of the former Sporting man.

“By the way, when he arrived some players commented in our dressing room that they thought he was not a player for United," he said in quotes translated by website Sport Witness.

"We Portuguese only said that they would be surprised when they saw him play: he’s a superstar and is proving it.”

Silva has made 35 appearances in the Championship for Forest this season, scoring two goals and setting up four for Sabri Lamouchi's promotion-chasers.
