In remembrance of late King Bhumibol and in gratitude for his contributions to the country, people can find assembly points in Bangkok and suburban areas to place sandalwood or flowers for the royal cremation ceremony via a mobile app.
Some 114 assembly points to place cremation flowers and sandalwood in Bangkok are searchable on Nostra Map, a navigation application for smartphones and tablets created by GlobeTech Co Ltd.
The application also compiles the data for "The Royal Cremation Ceremony Map" on its "special event" section, showing which routes have been closed, the locations of the nine screening points for the ceremony at Sanam Luang and shuttle bus stops.

The map has been updated to help people pay their respects to the late King.
"The app developer team created special map layers featuring the assembly points so that people can easily search for the closest locations and find the most convenient routes to navigate them," said general manager Wichai Saenghirunwattana.
To use the map, just open the app, touch the layer icon and choose from 114 assembly points to "place cremation flowers" and sandalwood, he said.
Under the "special event" section of the application, users can see replicas of the royal crematorium pinned by the symbol of Phra Merumas (royal funeral pyre), while assembly points to place flowers and royal sandalwood are pinned by the symbol for cremation flowers at https://map.nostramap.com/NostraMap/?layer=114.
