Nostalgic chocolate shoppers of a certain age will remember as Milky Way Crispy Rolls discontinued

Everyone has that certain food that transports them back to their childhood. But one by one some of these chocolates are being discontinued.

Milk Way Crispy Rolls are the latest victim and follows a range of other chocolate bars that have been taken off supermarket shelves.

After Mars released the news, a petition was started to encourage the confectionary giant to keep them in stores in the UK.

But the news has led to thousands of sweet tooths reminiscing about their beloved lost sweeties over the years and one post highlighting some of the most popular sweets of the early 00s has gone viral.

Posting a picture on Facebook group Food Finds UK, Harry celebrated a range of snacks and to really appreciate them - you just had to be there.

He reminded folk of the beloved white Malteasers, Cadbury's Dream, Campino sweets, Calippo shots and Mars Planets.

Hundreds - 1.2k to be exact - rushed to the comment section to pay their respect of the chocolates lost and many shared their most favourite.

The discontinuation of Milky Way Crispy Rolls has stirred up sore memories for a lot of 2000s kids who are still mourning the loss of the likes of Mars Delight and Cadbury's Dream.

John commented: "Walkers BBQ Rib were a replacement for (and not a patch on) their Barbecue flavour crisps which also came in a black packet and were amazing!!"

Caitlin said: "Mars Delights too they were amazing!"

"Campinos was my Nanas favourites when she was alive, loved get one as a treat as kid", Kelvin remembered.

Nicole added: "Don’t forget Cadbury’s Crispello’s they were the s***. And Mars dream bars, and Echos, god! So many missed opportunity."

"The graffutti Lucozade was amazing", Keeley interjected.

Lucie asked: "Does anyone remember the laughing cow bread sticks with the cheese and then bacon bits to dip in after the cheese? No one seems to remember them."

"They were all lunchbox favourites!" Mary replied.

And Kyle added: "I got a pain in my chest when I seen this photo but I'm not sure if that's because I miss them all dearly or because of the immense weight gain and pressure on the heart from eating so many of these."
