Norwich vs Arsenal: Premier League 19/20 prediction, tickets, team news, live stream, TV, H2H, odds - preview

Arsenal begin life under Freddie Ljungberg away to Norwich this weekend.

Following Thursday’s dismal 2-0 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, a result which made it seven games without a win in all competitions for the Gunners, Unai Emery was given his marching orders on Friday morning, 18 months on from his arrival in north London.

While the search is underway for a new permanent head coach, the Swede will oversee things on an interim basis, starting with the trip to Carrow Road on Sunday.

Arsenal are currently on their worst run since February 1992, eight points adrift of the top four - but Chelsea's home loss to West Ham on Saturday offers the Gunners the chance to cut that to five points.

Premier League preview

Norwich vs Arsenal
Venue:
Carrow Road
Kick-off time: 2pm GMT, Sunday 1 December

Prediction

Norwich 0-2 Arsenal: Norwich would have fancied their chances of heaping more misery on the Gunners before Emery's dismissal - an Arsenal side on a new manager bounce however will be eager to impress.

Team news

Given we are yet to see Ljungberg manage a game, it is difficult to predict what XI he will pick for Norwich on Sunday.

If, however, we go off his time in charge of the under-23s last season it is likely to be a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation. Hector Bellerin missed Thursday’s match with Eintracht Frankfurt due to a hamstring injury, but if fit the right-back should return as part of defence that contains Rob Holding, Sokratis and Kieran Tierney.

David Luiz is likely to be short of fitness too after picking up a chest injury.

Ahead of them, Granit Xhaka deserves to keep his place in midfield and so it will be between Matteo Guendouzi or Lucas Torreira to start alongside him.

You would suspect Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will start in attack - with perhaps Garbriel Martinelli nudging out Nicolas Pepe in light of his fine performances this season.
