Norwich unlikely to rush loan move for Adam Idah as manager highlights his potential

Norwich City are unlikely to rush a loan move for Adam Idah after a run of injuries in their attack.

The Ireland under-21 star made his Premier League debut in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

Cork lad Idah, 18, has made impressive strides in Stephen Kenny's Irish team and caught the eye off the bench in injury time at Carrow Road.

Doncaster Rovers and a host of other League One and Two clubs are keen to snare the prolific underage striker on loan this month.

But with Teemu Pukki nursing toe and hamstring issues and Dennis Srbeny still struggling with his back, Norwich may keep hold of Idah for now, but still with a view to a loan later in the month.

Yesterday, Canaries boss Daniel Farke said of Idah's top flight debut:  "I don’t like to praise the young lads too much, but him playing is a sign of our way.

"He looked pretty sharp when he came on, but he knows he has to improve and work further on.

"It’s not that easy to produce just by pressing a button to be a Premier League player at his age, but he’s got a lot of potential."
