Norwich City vs Chelsea: Prediction, tickets, live stream, TV, team news – Premier League 2019-20 preview

Norwich City vs Chelsea
Premier League
Venue: Carrow Road, Norwich
Kick-off time: 12:30pm BST, today

Frank Lampard takes his Chelsea side to East Anglia today to face Norwich City knowing that nothing but a victory will do after three winless games since taking over at Stamford Bridge.

The 41-year-old saw his team soundly beaten 4-0 by Manchester United in their Premier League opener before they were held to a 1-1 draw against Leicester, with a penalty shootout loss to Liverpool in the Uefa Super Cup sandwiched in between.

The Blues come up against a Norwich side brimming with confidence after Teemu Pukki's hat-trick inspired a 3-1 triumph over Newcastle United, but this will be a much stiffer test for the newly-promoted side.

Norwich vs Chelsea team news and predicted lineups

Tammy Abraham could start ahead of Olivier Giroud after the Frenchman struggled against Leicester, but N'Golo Kante may miss out with an ankle sprain.

Willian could also make his first start of the season, while Pedro is expected to be fit after missing training earlier this week.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek continue to recover from their respective Achilles injuries.

German defender Antonio Rudiger is close to returning to first-team action after taking part in an Under-23 match against Liverpool on Monday, although the Norwich trip will come too soon for him.

Predicted Chelsea XI [4-2-3-1]: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Kouma, Emerson; Kovacic, Jorginho; Mount, Pedro, Pulisic; Abraham

Prediction: Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

Failing to win against Manchester United and Leicester is forgivable, but Lampard will know he is under pressure to get off the mark and can ill-afford a slip-up against Norwich.

Chelsea have shown glimpses of their attacking ability and will know that sooner or later, the goals will start flowing after a frustrating time at home to Leicester.

Their attacking riches should enable them to see off the Canaries without too much trouble.
