Norwich City v Everton live stream, TV details and why you have to switch channels tonight

Premier League actions returns tonight, with a total of five matches getting underway.

The BBC will show the second of its four Premier League matches tonight (June 24).

For the first time ever, a handful of top-flight games are being shown across the BBC and this evening, Norwich City will take on Everton.

But there is an unusual quirk that will leave viewers searching for their TV remote at 7pm.

Here's all you need to know ahead of the game.

What time is Norwich City v Everton?

Norwich City v Everton kicks off at 6pm on Wednesday, June 24.

What TV channel is it on and why do you have to switch?

The Carrow Road clash is set to kick off at 6pm on BBC Two but after the first half and half-time analysis, viewers will need to switch to BBC One to watch the second half and the full-time punditry.

The move is to accommodate BBC News at Six and the subsequent showings of regional news at 6.30-7pm.

The move will require a brief channel flick for those tuning in, but a BBC insider defended the decision, saying "it's not too much to ask".

“It’s not ideal, but the news is very important at the moment," a BBC representative told the Daily Star.

"This whole thing has been a massive curveball and we don’t think it’s too much to ask for viewers to change the channel.”

What about live streaming?

Viewers can watch the live coverage via the BBC iPlayer and stream to devices if they so wish.

The match is the second shown by BBC after Crystal Palace's win over Bournemouth was shown last weekend.

BBC will also show Southampton v Man City on July 5 with their final game yet to be confirmed.

As well as the BBC, Sky Sports are also showing a chunk of their games - 25 of 64 - for free, while Amazon Prime are showing all of their four games without the need for a subscription.

BT Sport will show the remaining games, though those games will be shown on paid-channels only.
