Norwich City’s Aidan Fitzpatrick bid turned down by Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle have turned down a £300,000 bid from Norwich City for Aidan Fitzpatrick.

The English Premier League side – who have missed out on David Turnbull to Celtic - have made multiple offers but have as yet been unable to agree a deal for the Jags teenager.

The 18-year-old, who is also being trailed by Rangers and Celtic, is back in pre-season with Thistle.

Norwich made several offers in the January window that were turned down and they are still coming up short with their latest move.

It remains to be seen if the Canaries will make another move or walk away from any potential deal.

Caldwell wants to keep Fitzpatrick (PA)

Jags boss Gary Caldwell is adamant he wants to keep Fitzpatrick and if he remains then when he does leave it will be for even bigger things.

Norwich have already agreed a deal to sign Aberdeen ’s Scotland youth keeper Archie Mair.

He will join up with their under-23 team for next season.
