Norwich City have won the Championship title after sealing a superb 2018-19 campaign in style away to Aston Villa.
The Canaries confirmed their promotion back to the Premier League last week with victory over Blackburn Rovers in front of their own fans at Carrow Road.
It was left between Norwich and Sheffield United, who also confirmed their return to the top flight last week, to tussle for the title on the final day of the Championship season.
Two points separated the two sides ahead of kick-off with the Bladed in action against Stoke City.
Norwich dropping points would have opened up the possibility of Sheffield United leapfrogging them into top spot but Daniel Farke’s side did what was required of them with a 2-1 win at Villa Park.
Mario Vrancic’s 86th-minute strike earned a dramatic win against Villa, while second-placed Sheffield United were held to a 2-2 draw at Stoke.
