Norwich City can seal title, Rotherham's must-win encounter - what's at stake in the Championship on Easter Monday

With Norwich and Leeds both slipping up on Good Friday, the automatic promotion race in the Championship has been taken into another round of fixtures.

The Canaries are oh, so close to sealing a return to the Premier League and surely it's a matter of when rather than if.

With Rotherham staring into the relegation abyss at the other end, by the end of tomorrow's play the three teams heading into League One could be confirmed.

Here are the various permutations regarding the Championship on Easter Monday.

Title race

Norwich picked up a late point against Sheffield Wednesday to move five points clear at the top. They can seal the title on Monday if Sheffield United and Leeds United don’t win at Hull and Brentford, respectively.

Automatic promotion

With the exception of Norwich potentially winning the title, nothing can be decided in the race for the final promotion place with Leeds and Sheffield United locked on 82 points with a duel that's likely to go to the final day of the season.

Play-off spots

West Brom will become the fourth side to seal a play-off spot on Monday if they beat Reading, or if Bristol City lose to Sheffield Wednesday. A draw for the Baggies would also be enough if the Robins lose.

Victory for Middlesbrough would bring an end to any small hopes that Preston North End, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday have of securing a place in the top six.

Relegation

With Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers' League One fate secured for next season, there is just one remaining spot in the relegation zone.

Rotherham can not be mathematically relegated on Monday but would be on the brink if they lose to Birmingham City and Millwall beat Aston Villa; that would lead to a six-point decifit for the Millers with two games remaining, while the Lions have a game in hand, while Rotherham's goal difference is already 14 goals worse off.

A win or a draw for Birmingham would be enough to secure their Championship status for another year, while both Reading and Wigan will be safe if they win and Rotherham fail to do so.
