Norwich chase Owls striker; Rangers plan Bolton raid; Ex-Manchester United striker targeted - latest Championship transfer rumours

The Championship rumour mill is in full swing, with a number of clubs already looking to bolster their options for next season.

With 22 clubs confirmed for next season, a host of managers have already begun to line up their top targets ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Here are all the latest rumours from England’s second tier.

Norwich City are attempting to make Jordan Rhodes loan move permanent, according to reports.

The striker spent last season on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, playing second fiddle to Teemu Pukki.

Despite a lack of game time, Daniel Farke is hoping to strike a deal with the Owls, who could be willing to let him leave for a nominal fee.

Rhodes’ wages are likely to be the biggest stumbling block to any move.

Rangers have entered the race for Bolton Wanderers hotshot Luca Connell, according to The Daily Mail.

The 18-year-old looks set to leave the trouble Trotters this summer, with a host of Premier League clubs such as Norwich City and Southampton interested in striking a deal.

The midfielder caught the eye last season with a string of impressive performance, despite Bolton being relegated to League One.

Steven Gerrard’s side will also face competition from Preston North End.

Ipswich Town are eyeing a move up for out-of-contract Hull City striker Will Keane.

The former Manchester United forward spent last season on loan at Portman Road and scored three goals in 12 games.

According to reports, that is an option that Paul Lambert is exploring as he prepares his side for life in League One.

Sheffield United and Brighton and Hove Albion are both bidding for the signature of Swansea City striker Oli McBurnie, according to The Sun.

Transfer guru Alan Nixon has linked the Blades with a move for the Scottish striker, whilst the Seagulls are also bidding to bolster their attacking options.

Should the striker opt for a move down to the South Coast, he could be reunited with Graham Potter who is expected to be appointed as the club’s new manager in the coming days.
