Norwich ace sends vital message to Max Aarons amid talk of replacing Kieran Trippier at Spurs

Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul has called on Max Aarons and the club's other talented youngsters to remain at Carrow Road next season.

The Canaries clinched the Championship title on Sunday with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa after a brilliant season under manager Daniel Farke.

Right-back Aarons, who has been heavily linked with a switch to north London as a potential replacement for Kieran Trippier, has played a key role in his side's success, with fellow youngsters Ben Godfrey and Jamal Lewis also making a huge impression for the club.

While Norwich will certainly have plenty of offers on the table for the highly-rated players, Krul believes it will benefit them in the long run if they remain with the Canaries in the Premier League in 2019/20.

"We all know when the big money is going to be offered, heads are going to get turned," said the shot-stopper, as reported by The Mirror.

"But if Manchester United come in at 19 or 20 years old, there is no point sitting on the bench.

"They have to play. I will tell them. The money will come to these lads.

"When you look at how well they have done this year, some of them were in the U23s last year and no-one knew about them.

"Now they are massively sought after talent and rightly so. Every credit being thrown at them, they deserve.

"But what a chance for them to play week in week out if they stay. I can't wait to see them on the big stage next year.

"Max Aarons is 19 now, can you imagine to have won the Championship and have a year behind him in the Premier League, that is more important than anything."
