Norway’s Karsten Warholm celebrated a new 400m hurdles world record by ripping his shirt

Norway’s Karsten Warholm already had the world record in the 400m hurdles coming into the Tokyo Olympics.

But then he went and broke that record as he won gold.

The other best thing about that run? When he realized he had won and smashed that world record — a thrilling race in which Team USA’s Rai Benjamin was right there with him down the stretch — he ripped his shirt open in celebration.

It resulted in some amazing photos (see above) and it’s just one of those iconic moments that makes the Olympics so amazing.
