Alternate jerseys are all the rage now, and so too apparently is stretching a New York mile to name them. Northwestern announced that it’ll be wearing its new “Gothic” alternate jerseys for the Friday night affair against Ohio State this week. Yes. It’s true.
This game just keeps getting more and more strange. First, it’s just the second Friday night game in the history of Ohio State, it’s at the quirky Ryan Field in Evantston, and it comes after the Buckeyes’ week off. There might even be a large contingent of Scarlet and Gray in the stands despite the road atmosphere.
And now this.

So paint your nails black, wear some non-descript clothes, and get ready for the game Friday night. It’s Gothic night for Chicago’s Big Ten team.
